Hi, I’m Alex Pedan, an Austin-based wedding photographer.
I’ve photographed weddings for 15 years, including eight years working throughout New York and New Jersey before moving to Texas. Fast timelines, unpredictable weather, crowded rooms, and difficult light taught me how to stay composed, anticipate what matters, and create strong photographs without turning the day into a production.
My approach combines documentary coverage with refined, lightly directed portraits. I’ll tell you exactly what to do when guidance helps, organize family photographs efficiently, and step into the background when the moment belongs to you.
I also take the less glamorous parts seriously: preparation, clear communication, professional backup equipment, redundant file storage, and dependable delivery.
The goal is simple: you should feel taken care of before the wedding, comfortable in front of the camera, and fully present on the day.

My wife, Anna Alekseenko, joins me for wedding films and social content. Because we plan and work together, photography and video share one timeline, one visual direction, and one priority: documenting the day without taking it over.
Anna’s background in cinematography and professional makeup artistry gives her a careful eye for movement, flattering light, and the small details that make a difference on camera.
