F A Q
Answering your questions
Do you have a studio space or do you work on location?
Yes! I have a fully equipped studio for portraits and boudoir. Additionally, I carry a professional-grade mobile lighting kit that allows me to create 'studio-quality' light in any environment—whether it’s a dim wedding venue, an outdoor sunset, or a corporate office. No matter the weather or time of day, we’ll get the perfect shot.
How do I secure my date?
To officially reserve your date on my calendar, a non-refundable retainer is required. This typically ranges from $100 to $500 depending on the scale of the shoot. Once the retainer is received, that date is 100% yours and I stop taking other inquiries for that window.
I’m not a professional model—will you help me with posing?
95% of my clients feel exactly the same way! My job isn’t just to click the shutter; it’s to direct you. I specialize in 'guided candids'—I’ll give you clear directions and movement ideas that feel natural rather than stiff. Usually, any nerves disappear after the first 10 minutes once you see how easy and fun the process actually is.
How long does a typical Boudoir session last?
I find that 2 hours is the 'sweet spot.' One hour often feels rushed and doesn’t allow enough time for outfit changes or for you to truly relax into the vibe. Conversely, sessions longer than two hours can be physically draining. Two hours gives us ample time to experiment with different lighting, moods, and looks without any pressure.
Why do you offer Medium Format Film?
Digital is great for speed, but Medium Format Film (shot on my Pentax 6×7) has a soul, texture, and 'glow' that digital sensors simply cannot replicate. I offer it as an enhancement for couples who want their wedding photos to feel like timeless pieces of art rather than just files on a screen.
